Morning & Evening

Game Drives

Set out at the break of dawn when animals are most active, whether venturing into the renowned Hwange National Park or exploring our expansive 15,000-acre private concession. The opportunity to catch cats on the hunt is high in the light of early morning.

Evening drives set out just before golden hour, another time of day when animals are most active. Huge herds of elephants and buffalo can usually be found near the watering holes as the sun sets.

At the beginning of each drive, your guide will enquire if you have any special interests and do their best to accommodate. You’ll stop for tea and coffee on morning drives, and sundowners on evening drives. If driving in our private concession, you’ll also embark on a night drive where you may spot civets, genets, bat eared foxes, hyenas and other nocturnal creatures.

Painted Dog

Zimbabwe remains a strongholds for African Painted Dogs and boasts one of the largest populations of this endangered species. Visit the Hwange Research Centre to learn more about these often misunderstood animals, and the efforts underway for their conservation, rehabilitation and research. There is no entry fee charged but the program kindly asks visitors to either buy something from the curio shop with proceeds going to the program or welcomes any donations.
