Built by the Stead family, Khulu’s Retreat carries the name of Cedric “Khulu” Wilde, father of our CEO, Sharon Stead. Cedric built both Khulu Bush Camp and the Retreat.

Today, this private safari villa on our unfenced concession bordering Hwange National Park is yours to share with family or friends. Gather on the teak deck, watch wildlife on the vlei and head out with your private guide and dedicated safari vehicle. Your private chef takes care of meals back at the villa.

Yes. Khulu’s Retreat is available on a house-hire basis, charged per night, for up to six guests. Your stay includes a private chef, guide and safari vehicle. Contact our reservations team for availability and a quotation.
The minimum stay is two nights. Our team can help you plan a longer Hwange visit or combine your stay with time in Matopos.
Khulu’s Retreat is on our private concession bordering the national park, close to Khulu Bush Camp. This gives you a base for exploring the concession and arranging visits into the park with your guide.
There are three main suites with king-size beds, accommodating up to six guests. The villa has two full en-suite bathrooms and one half bath.
